BRFA is a flexible and self-adhesive band that is installed around electrical cables, metal or plastic pipes that pass through a construction element (wall or ceiling) to prevent the spread of fire. The material that makes up the bands expands from 2 mm to 10-12 mm when it reaches 100ºC. The intumescent bands close the gaps to prevent the passage of fire while cooling the opening.
